The district administration in Indore has started the process of granting land ownership rights to residents of 29 villages that were included within the municipal corporation limits in 2014. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has given directives for this initiative during a recent meeting in Indore. Residents of these villages without a lease holding on residential land, or their heirs/transferees, can apply for a lease under the land holding rights scheme. This will help address the difficulties faced by landowners in these villages when selling their properties or accessing loans due to lack of registration or lease documents. Applications for land holding rights can be submitted based on the circular issued by the Revenue Department on September 24, 2020. Successful applicants will be granted a lease for 30 years, allowing them to facilitate property transactions and obtain loans easily. Camps will be set up at tehsil offices in Juni Indore, Malharganj, Rau, Bicholi Hapsi, and Kanadia on September 29, 2024, to receive applications. SDM Rau Vinod Rathore mentioned that online applications for leases will also be accepted at the camps. Applicants should bring necessary documents such as bills related to utilities, official correspondence/documents, property tax receipts, and voter list details.
